Derek Wood - Director Derek has 32 years extensive experience in the finance industry both domestic and international. This experience encompasses a number of areas including structured finance, risk mangement, compliance, business processes, governance, project management, due diligence, funds management and system analysis. Client projects include: - the implementation of the Consumer Credit Code (NCCP) for a third party provider and a mortgage broker. - acquiring an Australian Financial Services (AFSL) licence for an alternative fund manager. - implementing a risk management (Basel 2) requirement for a bank. - creating and overviewing a management system for a large international investment company. - creating business continuity and disaster recovery plans for a leading international fund manager. Derek has had exposure to a number of different companies ranging from small businesses, fund managers, investment companies and domestic & international banks. Derek specialises in de-risking businesses to ensure that they are investor ready for capital raising. This also includes reviewing and enhancing business operational aspects, policies and procedures, business plans and compliance requirements.
